Summer Road Trip

For the last three summers we've driven from Illinois to Washington (state) and back again and we try to see as much as we can of this amazing country while driving as fast as we can safely. It's fun and crazy and makes for lots of memories. It's funny because the three highlights of the trip for me were three things that I did not take pictures of! 1) We drove west into a never ending gorgeous sunset the first night. 2) We swam in the hotel pool together. 3) We watched a storm approach in the BIG skies of Badlands National Park. But you don't have to take pictures of everything and sometimes the camera can actually keep you from "being in the moment" so that's okay! Here's all of us at Badlands:



Both of my girls are avid rock collectors and love to collect rocks everywhere we go. Is this a common kid thing?

And how about this big rock we found? I had never heard of Devil's Tower Monument before but isn't this amazing?!


It was fun crazy and lucky me I get to do it a few more times ; )
